Introduction
Our Support Services help people to remain as independent
as possible in their own home.
We are here to help anyone as well as those people who
live in Moorlands Housing properties.
The services available include offering supported
housing, a 24 hour Careline service, Community
visits and domestic
violence support.
Supported Housing
Supported housing homes are specially tailored for those
who feel they need our services. Supported housing
automatically qualifies for access to our services. This
includes:
- Emergency 24 hour care alarm system.
- Community visitor service.
The Community Visitor service offers support and advice
to all Supported Housing tenants and are able to help
with many issues or concerns.
Some examples of the ways in which Community Visitors
can be of assistance are:
- Referrals for repairs.
- Advice on available services such as meals
on wheels.
- Wide range of contacts to find the right help
for you.

Supporting People
Supporting people is a partnership between social services,
housing departments, health, probation and voluntary
groups to help a wide range of vulnerable people live
independently in the community.
Supporting people will now take over the cost of support
services that were previously paid for from housing benefit.
The cost of these services will not change as a result
of supporting people.

Domestic Violence Support
- We offer a support service to Women or men and their
children who are experiencing or who have survived domesic
violence.
- This is a flexible, personal service designed
to cater for individual needs.
- This service includes flexible support visits.

confidence.
